The Center for Interface and Materials Science is a recharge facility in the
Institute for Pure and Applied Physical Sciences with
equipment for both preparation and characterization of bulk and thin film samples. The facility is available to the local research
community on a recharge basis. A Rigaku x-ray diffractometer, a
Quantum Design SQUID magnetometer, and ESCA station, and an electro-discharge
machine are available for use.
CIMS Equipment Policy: CIMS equipment is for use by trained and authorized users only.
Training of new users is to be performed by authorized personnel only.
Damage to equipment incurred by users due to negligence and misuse will be the sole responsibility of the user and the
corresponding PI.
